Ethos and Expectations

Archbishop Blanch Church of England School is founded on the work of Stuart Blanch. As a result our ethos is inspired by a concern for others, founded in Jesus’ example of love in deed and in truth. Our Ethos is theologically founded in scripture, as we seek to serve those in our community through the Six Christian Values chosen by all members of our community:

COMMUNITY, COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS, FRIENDSHIP, THANKSGIVING AND TRUST

In living out these core Christian values we encourage all members of the community to seek social justice, advocate for change and flourish spiritually in a safe and loving environment. Students and adults at Archbishop Blanch flourish spiritually and academically through the shared vision:

WE AIM TO “NOT LOVE IN WORD OR TALK, BUT IN DEED AND IN TRUTH

AS WE SERVE NOT ONLY EACH OTHER BUT THE WIDER COMMUNITY THROUGH CHARITABLE CAUSES”

(1 JOHN 3:18)

At Archbishop Blanch School we recognise a duty to become innovators of change within an ever-changing world.

Our Vision Statement:

WE AIM TO “NOT LOVE IN WORD OR TALK, BUT IN DEED AND IN TRUTH

AS WE SERVE NOT ONLY EACH OTHER BUT THE WIDER COMMUNITY THROUGH CHARITABLE CAUSES”

(1 JOHN 3:18)

“Our two daughters have had the best start in life thanks to the caring, enthusiastic and hardworking staff of Archbishop Blanch School. Choosing the right secondary school for one’s children is such a difficult task, but we could feel the special ethos of ABS on our first visit. You inspire your pupils to achieve the academic heights of which they are capable in a happy, safe and vibrant environment” Parent
