Consultation for Admission to Archbishop Blanch in September 2026
Consultation period: 16th December 2024 – 20th January 2025
VISION STATEMENT:
We aim to ‘not love in word or talk, but in deed and in truth,’ (1 John 3:18), as we serve not only each other but the wider community through charitable causes.
The Church of England allows us to see the intrinsic value of all members of our community, as we are made in the image of God and loved unconditionally. This allows our faith school to be truly inclusive.
As an admissions authority, the Governors of Archbishop Blanch School are required by the 1998 School Standards and Framework Act to consult with all other Admission Authorities, the Local Authority and Diocese of Liverpool, before finalising admissions arrangements and policy for September 2021 (as set out in Section 1.42 of the School Admission Code).
In the light of this requirement we are pleased to enclose the Governors’ proposed 2026 admissions arrangements and policy and would welcome any comments. It is proposed a change to the following:
- Inclusion of Supplementary School Attendance for Muslim criteria applications, which results in an increase in the points available.
Please could we request that any such comments are received by 20th January 2025.
Comments are invited in writing for the attention of Chair of Governors at the school’s address.
Alternatively, you may wish to email consultation@blanch.org.uk.

“Pupils and students told us that the school’s values of trust and friendship are the glue that holds them together. They are exceptionally proud to be part of such as close-knit, friendly and welcoming school community.”
