Apprenticeship IT Technician – September 2026

£19000 per annum
15 months
Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
Mon-Fri – 08:00 – 15:30 (including 30 minute lunch break) Annual Leave: 28 days of paid annual leave per year plus bank holidays

The role will include training provided by Archbishop Blanch, followed by delivering hands-on, in-person IT support across the school and wider trust. This is a highly visible, people-facing role where the postholder will be out and about around the site, responding to issues, troubleshooting problems directly with staff and students, and setting up new equipment to support teaching and learning.

The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running and ongoing development of the school’s IT systems and offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting a wide range of systems and technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows desktop and server environments, Active Directory, networking, virtualisation, device management, and IT security

Desired Skills

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team • Effective time management and organisation • Computer literate, with an interest in IT systems and basic coding/scripting • Understanding of basic IT support tasks (e.g. troubleshooting, device setup, user support) • Awareness of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems • Accurate and methodical approach to work

Qualifications required
