During June and July, a group of eight Year 10 pupils took part in weekly afterschool sessions at Liverpool John Moores University known as the WiSTEM Project. The WiSTEM Project focusses on encouraging young women to become engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and involves some fantastic interactive activities. The sessions looked at different areas of STEM including drone technology, crime scene investigation, product design and Mat Lab software. The pupils were fully engaged in these activities and got involved in all aspects of the events, from flying drones to designing lamps. Our students were outstanding ambassadors for our school and we hope that this experience has motivated them to embark upon STEM related careers in the future. Well done to all the pupils that took part and their excellent effort and behaviour at every event!
