Selected Year 12 & 13 students Elsa ,Eliza, Niamh , Zoe, Grace, Amy & Ginnie, had the privilege of attending Liverpool's historic Town Hall on Thursday 3rd October to participate in Liverpool School's Parliament. School’s Parliament gives an opportunity for the young people of Liverpool to have a voice on matters of concern and to be heard by the people who have influence in the running of the city of Liverpool. The parliament also provides an opportunity for children to participate in a range of exciting events and activities and empowers pupils to make a real difference within their community.
Our students gave an excellent account of themselves in all discussions about safety in Liverpool, gender issues, bullying and social media. Eliza H have an excellent speech on her role as a member of the Youth Parliament. The afternoon's discussions centered around youth crime and voting at 16. There was an audience with local councilors with some very interesting questions. All of our students were fully engaged with exceptionally intelligent questioning, they were a credit to themselves and to school.
