On Friday 17th February an excited group of Year 11 students departed from school to spend the weekend at PGL in Shropshire. That evening, pupils and staff split themselves into teams and enjoyed activities including space hopper football and an interesting game of dodgeball! The next morning, everyone woke up early and spent three and a half hours revising maths with their teachers. Pupils worked in small groups with support from teachers to revise key exam topics and practice exam style questions. All pupils worked exceptionally hard in these sessions and have commented on how much they learned from the one to one support. In the afternoon, both pupils and staff flew through the air on a zip wire and giant swing. Some students (and staff!) were a little scared of the heights, but everyone conquered their fears and worked hard in teams to hoist their friends high into the air. Students later took part in either a quiz or a game of bench ball so by evening everyone was very tired and ready for bed, accompanied by a hot chocolate. On Sunday we awoke early and spent another morning revising. Lots of exam revision left the students feeling confident to continue with revision over half term, ahead of their mock exams. Overall the weekend was great fun and all students worked really hard as well as gaining the opportunity to develop team building skills with both pupils and members of staff, well done Year 11!
