Lions Peace Poster Competition.

Scarlet Smith in Year 9 entered the Lions Peace Poster competition. For the last 31 years the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has run in schools and youth groups. This art contest encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace.

Scarlet produced an outstanding piece of original art work, that not only presented a great drawing skill, but that displayed a positive message for peace. Scarlet’s drawing was judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme. Her poster went through the national finals and came second – Well done Scarlet! Scarlet’s final image has been mounted into a framed print to be displayed at Archbishop Blanch and she will hold the winner’s trophy for a year.

Joan Elliot from the City of Liverpool Lions Club came into school to present Archbishop Blanch with Scarlet’s framed poster and trophy and to present Scarlet with beautiful art box full of art equipment.
