On Wednesday 15th January our students had an excellent opportunity to gather information regarding their future destinations at our whole school careers fair. We hosted over 40 stands from employers and further education providers. The format of the day gave our students an excellent opportunity to look at a variety of career options and higher education pathways, while being able to network and meet representatives of potential future employers. They also had the opportunity to look at various employers regarding school leaver programmes, apprenticeships and NHS traineeships.
Our visitors included representatives from the NHS, Hill Dickinson, Liverpool Chamber, The British Army, The Royal Navy, Merseyside Fire and Rescue, Merseyside Police, Mode Training, Little League Sports, Gap Year foundation and Shaping Futures.
We also had the following universities and Higher Education providers present; University of Liverpool, Edgehill University, Liverpool JMU, Liverpool Hope University and Durham University, Bristol University, LIPA, LMA, Hugh Baird College, Riverside College and Myerscough College, as well up to date information about Apprenticeship pathways.
We are so thankful to all our visitors on the day, we really value the time given to our students and the personal contact they gained with company representatives was invaluable. It was a great way to get insight into different industries, ask any questions they may have, learn more about their company culture and to find out what they expect from job applications.
