On Wednesday 8Th February Archbishop Blanch School hosted a Careers Convention, which the whole school attended at some point throughout the day. The event was hosted in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, for which we are their flagship school within the city.
The event saw over 25 different organisations for a range of training providers, further and higher education facilities as well as business and we had an area called “meet the professionals” where pupils were able to go and talk to people who undertake a range of different jobs.
As well as pupils being able to gather info about a range of new opportunities there was also a maths focus for the day, in which the visitors showed how maths is needed in different careers. Pupils were given log books to complete, in which they were able to write down any information they gathered.
