We offer students a three year Key Stage 3 programme that gives a widespread and balanced approach to the curriculum. In Year 9 there will be some opportunity to begin GCSE studies in core subjects. All students will be given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the subjects they will choose to study to GCSE level. This curriculum is taught in 25 lessons each week, each lesson lasting 60 minutes.

PSCHE
PSHCE takes place for one hour a week with form tutors. This time allows students to learn in different ways and to interact frequently with external providers. These sessions cover subjects such as Staying Safe, British Values, Study Skills, Pathways and Work-ready Skills and RSE.

Students who did not attain the expected standard, or who are significantly below their chronological reading age, are given additional support is to enable them to rapidly catch up.
