Applications for 2017 Entry.

Read through these notes carefully before you begin.
Please submit your application online to us by February 10th 2017.

Your details

  • You will be unable to submit your application unless all parts are completed
  • You will not be able to save your application part way through and then return at a later time
  • We require that you have access to a personal email address so we can confirm your application has been received
  • Your details will be held securely on our servers for as long as they are required


Before you start you will need the following to hand

  • The name of the local authority in which you live, for example Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton.
  • Your Unique Learning Number (ULN) (available from your school)
  • Your Unique Candidate Identifier (UCI) (available from your school)
  • Your predicted or actual exam grades for GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language
  • Details of two emergency contacts including your relationship to that person.
  • Your choice of subjects that you are considering studying at our Sixth Form


Please read carefully the following documents before choosing your courses :

Entry Requirements for 6th form: GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY • The Sixth Form is able to provide a suitable course • The applicant has a satisfactory record of attendance and behaviour • The student and his/her parent(s) enter into the contractual arrangements of our Partnership Agreement • Support and respect the Christian Ethos of the sixth form participating and respecting all aspects of collective worship. It is expected that successful applicants will have fulfilled the general conditions of entry together with the minimum academic entry requirements. To study Level 3 courses you will need at least 5 GCSEs grade C/4 or above and meet the specific subject requirements. *Archbishop Blanch reserve the right to withdraw a course from the curriculum following advertisement if the course is subsequently undersubscribed.

Frequently Asked Questions


If I apply online and then change my mind about the subjects I want to study at Archbishop Blanch, what should I do?
You will be able to amend your subject choices during your preliminary interview held during the spring term next year. Please do not attempt to submit another application.

If I apply online and later change my contact details such as telephone number, address or email, what should I do?
Please give any new details to our Admissions team: admin@blanch.org.uk or call us on 0151 233 7373

I don't know what subjects I want to study at Archbishop Blanch yet, what should I do?
The choices you select now are not definite. You will be able to discuss changes to your choices during your interview. Please do not submit another application.

What will happen once I've applied?
Once you have submitted your online application form you will see a message on the screen stating that it was submitted correctly. You will also receive a confirmation email which will be sent to the email address you give on the application form, so please double-check you have typed it correctly. Those invited for interview will be contacted by March 2017.
