Library
Welcome to Archbishop Blanch Library/Resource Base
Our Library is expertly managed by Mrs Jones who has been working towards creating a fully equipped resource base for nearly ten years.
The Library is equipped with a Library Management system which allows a catalogue of stock to be built up covering subjects taught on the National Curriculum. We also have a wide range of titles in our fiction/novels section and a bank of computers to give students greater access to the internet and resources.
Stock editing is constantly taking place to give access to the most up to date reading materials available. A questionnaire is given to the students, usually in the Spring Term, to help the department evaluate and incorporate new ideas and concepts to keep pace with the advancement of education and technology.
The students enjoy visiting the library/resource base, whether it's to do research, use the computers or to chill out and read a book. Teachers like to book lessons to use the facilities. We feel that the Library/Resource Base is a very important part of our school, supporting the education and development of each student and therefore enriching each person's life.
Our Library Shop is open every day and sells a range of stationery and equipment for school use. The Bookclub scheme is very popular with the girls enabling them to purchase the latest titles at discounted prices.
