Casual Transfers
Applications outside the normal round of admissions ("In-Year Admissions")
Applications for casual admission, or for in-year transfers, will be considered under Category A (children in public care), Category B (religious reasons) Category D (medical/social reasons) or Category E (expressed parental preference). If the year-group in question is full, the application can be added to a waiting-list for that category and that year-group.
Each application will remain on the waiting list until the end of that academic year, after which it is up to the applicant to reapply if they wish to remain on the list. Again, the waiting-lists will be ordered in categories using the same criteria as for normal admissions. In the event of a place becoming available, the next application on the list in that category will be offered a place. Should the place that becomes available have originally been awarded through Category C (academic reasons), the replacement will be taken from either Category A (children in public care), B (religious reasons) or D (medical/social reasons) and finally Category E (expressed preference). For any particular child, only one application will be considered per academic year, unless there have been significant and substantial changes to the child's circumstances.
