YOUTH ALPHA SUCCESS AT ARCHBISHOP BLANCH SCHOOL
The increasingly popular Youth Alpha course is run each year in school, over eight lunchtimes, usually starting in October. The course is currently run by two Governors, led by Rev Kate Wharton, with the assistance of pupils from years 11,12 and 13.
Youth Alpha, just like the well known Alpha Course, is an exploration of the Christian faith, looking at issues such as 'Who is Jesus?', 'How can we have faith?' and 'How can I resist evil?'
The course is very well attended by pupils, who like the informal style of each session.
Currently the Sixth Form are leading a popular Christian Group called "IGNITE".
Pupils who would like to attend the course should look at the extensive publicity displayed around the school. Anyone with questions about Youth Alpha can contact Rev. Kate Wharton via the School Office.
